The main part of the election campaign takes place during the vacations – is that a blessing or a curse??
The vacation season makes it more difficult to reach people and talk to them. Also, the events on the occasion of the elections (for example, panel discussions) are rather poorly attended.
Whether this has to do directly with the vacation season or is due to a lack of interest on the part of the electorate, I cannot answer. But we have to get people more enthusiastic about democracy in general, and it is rather a hindrance if many are simply on vacation during the election campaign. Whereas, of course, political opinion-forming and dialogue with the people should take place independently of the election campaign.

What do you want to achieve in berlin for the region??
I would like to achieve that the region in bavaria has a better demand and a better quality so that it has better prospects for the future. This includes above all infrastructure projects. But also the demand gap to the new federal states must be reduced, so that companies invest again on the bavarian side of the former border region and create jobs or. Staying alive. And we must counter demographic change and create incentives for young people to stay in the region.

Where do you see the biggest challenge in the next legislative term??
To narrow the ever-widening gap between rich and poor and to make it possible for the socially weaker in this country to live a decent and reasonable life.

Since the middle of january, local heroes bavaria and the "ab geht die lutzi" have been looking for a new festival-festival "bavaria’s best up-and-coming band. Numerous musicians from all corners of the free state took the opportunity to recommend themselves in this way for germany’s largest and oldest non-profit competition for up-and-coming musicians. In the meantime, the application phase has been completed. A jury of experts will decide who will be the winner on 14. June will compete live for the title and then move on to the national final of local heroes.

"We really didn’t expect that", say dani strabner, lisa fuchs and nicole oppelt. The trio responsible for reviving the competition after an absence of several years is overwhelmed by the rough response their call for entries two months ago drew. A good 60 different formations of various colors have applied.

"We have always been convinced that there are an incredible number of good bands on the road in bavaria that have simply not yet found the right platform to receive wider attention," says lisa fuchs, says lisa fuchs. In a first step, the team has carried out an initial inspection together with expert partners. The event partners of the "ab geht die lutzi"-festivals, the association musikinitiative hammelburg and the "initiative for music and youth culture nes e.V." From bad neustadt helped select the best entries.

Open to all – that’s the domino youth center. A look at the weekly calendar confirms this: schoolchildren come to cook, teenagers to box, listen to music or chill out. The weltburgers invite to dinner and the homosexual group queer dreams of a christopher street day in coburg. The vegan cooking group hosts about 100 interested people every week. "However, we are still fighting against the prejudice of being left-wing", regrets managing director johanna schilling. The youth center with its five part-time social pedagogues has consciously thought about opening up the event program even more, especially in the area of music. In addition to the legendary punk concerts with artists from new york or the ukraine, hiphop and metal, there are also schlager nights, classical music events or, most recently, lounge concerts with up-and-coming artists (on 14. December at cafe babbel).

"We are the roughest promoter in the alternative music scene" says alexander thomann, who is in charge of the cultural program at dominoes. The domino alone organizes about 30 concerts from its own ranks. The hall is fully booked almost every weekend. Starting next year, there will be direct access to the old angers gym. "Then the concerts will take place there. The catering will be done by us", johanna schilling is pleased.

But the domino team is not entirely happy about the result. Because: although more concerts are desired by the city’s youth welfare planning, there is a lack of financial support for suitable technical equipment.

It was a very moving musical that the group musical-project of the secondary school brought to the stage. The 13 girls describe the fates of women who have realized their dreams and have asserted themselves with their personality and their abilities against the social resistance of their time. With the musical "the mysterious book" they not only drew portraits of impressive female personalities, but also encouraged people to trust in themselves.

"We can do it", it sounded at the beginning from the scenery. Cathrin, a girl born in 219 before christ, wants to make her dreams come true. But at that time everything was forbidden to madchen. Then a leap in time: 2238 years later. Three girlfriends are talking about the possibility of living their dreams while watching the starry sky. "If past lives have become stars, they are burning stones in space and they can tell what they have experienced?", the friends ask each other. And when a shooting star shines, they tell each other their wishes and dreams.

Since they whisper about their dreams even in class, they have to clean the attic as a punishment. There you will find "the mysterious book". The "crazy woman" also appears there cathrin up and tells of her suffering. The three girls want to help her. It helps to take a look at the book in which cathrin madchen describes her life and the traumas she suffered. The singing of the characters and the small choir gives the performance a special depth.

After 24 years in office, norbert schneider’s term of office as chairman of the riedenberg music association has now come to an end. "At that time, I had been appointed for a maximum of two terms of office, i.E. Eight years. I hadn’t planned for it to last 24 years, says norbert schneider. Nevertheless, it was mostly fun and together with his board members they had also achieved a lot, he emphasized.

After many years as rehearsal nomads by gasthauser and the gymnasium, it succeeded with the conversion of one of the empty houses in the children’s village to a music home to give the club a home. The "buttenabende" were to become more and more important during this time. He found the dissolution of the marching band a pity. With the organization of the two anniversaries for the 40th and 50th anniversary of the music association, there were two major festivities to organize. Only recently was the 50. The association’s 50th birthday was celebrated with a four-day festival at the berghaus and stretched all board members, musicians and numerous helpers to their limits. Now he handed over the office to younger hands.

34-year-old florian leimbach, who has been deeply rooted in the association since his childhood, agreed to take over the first chairmanship of the association. "I only took over the first chairmanship because I know that I have an excellent board team behind me and that all the tasks are distributed over several shoulders, florian leimbach declared in his inaugural address. Five people are being honored this year at the city of herzogenaurach’s honoring evening for their many years of service to the city. As announced by the city administration, the city council in its meeting on 27 june has decided on a new position for the city. June decided to honor helga lang, dagmar wegmann, hermann josef conrads, peter persin and siegbert sendner with the burgers’ medal. The awards ceremony will take place on thursday, 12. Helga lang is awarded the burgher medal of the city of herzogenaurach for her many years of voluntary work in a responsible position in the hospice association of herzogenaurach, in particular during its foundation in its present form from 2003 onwards. She was already a member in 1982, later a member, second chairwoman and from 2003 to 2015 chairwoman of the hospice association (formerly the association for outpatient nursing). She was instrumental in many projects, including the introduction of the mourning cafe, the organization of excursions and ecumenical mourning services. In addition, she has been active in various other voluntary areas for many years, including as a member of the senior citizens’ advisory council of the city of herzogenaurach from 2007 to 2019 or in the catholic german women’s federation.

Dagmar wegmann is also honored for her outstanding and extremely wide-ranging volunteer work.
